Four hours, no iPad. She spent the first forty minutes just on the zipper. The handle meant it never hit the floor.
Both hands on the wheel. Both of theirs on the board.
Twenty minutes into a drive is when the phone usually comes out. The board sits flat on their lap, the handle hooks over the harness, and because every piece is attached, nothing ends up under the seat for you to fish out at the next light.
- Flat, stiff panels stay open on a lap without sliding off
- Handle loops over a car-seat harness or a stroller bar
- Snaps shut with one button when the ride is over
Lasts longer than the crayons.
Most parents already pack something. The problem is that it buys five minutes. The board is built for the three places toddlers run out of patience first.
The restaurant
Order → foodOpens flat on the table and stays put. The strap row usually covers the stretch between ordering and the plates arriving, which is the stretch that used to need a phone.
The car seat
Any drive over 20 minSits on their lap, hooks to the harness, nothing falls. You get the drive back.
The airplane tray
Taxi, takeoff, landingFits the tray table with room for the snack cup, and works during the parts of the flight when the screen has to be off anyway.
Lives in the bag. Comes out when it counts.
Closed, it is 11 by 8.5 inches and weighs 12 ounces, less than a full water bottle. It snaps shut so nothing dangles, and the handle doubles as a hook for the stroller bar. Pack it once and forget it until you need it.
- Snap closure keeps the panels flat and the straps inside
- Wipes clean after the restaurant, dries flat overnight
- Ocean scene on the cover, so it reads as a bag, not a toy
Twenty things to do. None of them a screen.
Every fastener is one they'll meet in real life: on their own jacket, their shoes, their car seat. Here are the ones that get the most use.
The numbers, since you'll ask.

Nothing to pull off. Nothing to swallow.
In 2026 the CPSC recalled busy boards from four different sellers because small parts detached. We designed ours with that list on the wall.
No glue, anywhere
Every buckle, strap, gear and toggle is sewn through the felt and the core. Nothing is glued on.
Everything is tethered
Shapes, toggles and laces are on stitched-in cords shorter than 7 in, so they can't leave the board or form a loop.
Tested as a toy, not a craft
Tested to ASTM F963-23 and CPSIA at an independent lab: small parts, use-and-abuse, lead and phthalates. All passed.
We won't tell you the board "builds focus" or "cuts screen time by 94%". It gives small hands real fasteners to work on and gives you a better option than the phone in the places you need one. What they do with it is up to them.
Stay nearby with children under 3, the way you would with any toy.
The first five minutes.
Most boards get abandoned because they're handed over cold. Three things make the difference.
Sit together, open it flat
Somewhere boring and calm. Not the restaurant yet.
Show one fastener, slowly, once
Pick the gears or a buckle. Don't narrate. Then take your hands away.
Hand it over and let them pick
Expect ten minutes the first day, and longer once the buckle finally clicks.
Reviewed where it gets used.
Ordered, ate, paid, left. He worked the buckle straps the whole time. It comes with us every Friday now.
Bought the Plus for my grandson. His parents texted a video of him with the gears that same night. One star off because the gift box arrived dented.
Hooks onto the harness so it never slides off her lap. She does the snaps, undoes them, does them again. Every single drive.
Lives on the kitchen counter and comes out while I cook. Twenty minutes of him lacing the shoe is twenty minutes I get dinner done.
Fit on the tray table with the snack cup next to it. The gears were the hit. Already bought a second one for my sister.
The gift the parents will text you about.
No batteries, no screen, no 200-piece set. Tick the gift box at checkout and we handle the rest.

- Ships straight to the family, no price inside
- Order early for Christmas delivery
- Two-board bundle: $59.99 with free shipping, for cousins or twins
Before you add it to the bag.
What age is it right for?
18 months to 4 years. Under 18 months most of the fasteners are too hard and the board becomes a chew toy. Past 4 the buckles get boring, and that is fine; by then it has done its job.
Is it safe? Didn't busy boards get recalled?
Yes, four brands were recalled in 2026 because glued knobs came off. Ours has no glued parts. Everything is sewn through the panel, every loose-looking piece is on a short stitched cord, and the board is tested to ASTM F963-23 and CPSIA by an independent lab.
What if my toddler ignores it?
Try the three steps above first; a cold hand-over is the usual reason. If it still isn't working after 30 days, send it back used and we refund in full.
Can I wash it?
Wipe with a damp cloth, spot-clean with mild soap, dry flat. The core is stiff board, so no washing machine.
Does it fit a diaper bag?
Folded it is about the size of a hardcover picture book. It fits a standard diaper bag, a backpack, or the seat-back pocket on a plane.
How fast is shipping and what does it cost?
Orders ship within 2 business days. Shipping is $4.95 for one board and free when you order two.
Will it replace screens completely?
No toy replaces every screen moment. But it gives you something real to hand them in the everyday moments you'd usually reach for your phone.
Four things you can hold us to.
If it doesn't earn a place in your bag, send it back.
Use it for a month. Take it to the restaurant, the car, the flight. If it isn't the thing you reach for, reply to your order email and we refund you in full.
